Track Training from 4:30pm
Training for all levels including first time and junior riders.

100 Lap Session Eligibility and Preparation
This training session has an adult focus. U9, U11 and U13 riders are not permitted to participate. U15 riders who have been coached and have competed at a high level may participate once their skills and fitness have been verified by the coordinator.

Riders must be allowed a minimum 15-minute warm-up before the session starts.

All participants must pay before the session starts.

New riders, regardless of experience, skill or fitness, are not permitted to rotate through the line during the first 30 laps. They are to remain as the last rider in the line. This allows them to observe how sprint laps work. New riders may need to be accompanied by an experienced rider at the rear of the field until they are considered ready to roll through the line.

Pre-Session Briefing
All riders must attend the briefing before the session commences. The briefing will cover topics such as the following:
- The proposed speeds for each block (e.g. 100–81 laps to go at 40 km/h).
- Holding their lines during sprints.
- How to ride the final 20 laps and the final 10 laps.
- Avoiding overlapping wheels.
- Holding their line and maintaining their speed when not sprinting.

Riding Procedures and Speed

Riders complete one lap behind the motorbike, then swing up and move to the back of the peloton.
Riders should remain on the track and participate in the session as much as possible to avoid interruptions to the line.

The moto rider will communicate with the riders regarding speed but will follow the predefined speed blocks below:
100-81 = 38 - 40km/h
80-41 = 42 - 44km/h
40-21 = 45 - 50km/h
20-1 = 50 - 60km/h

Sprint Procedures

A sprint will occur every 10 laps, starting at 91, 81, 71, etc., laps to go.

The moto rider should flash their indicator as they approach the sprint lap, before rolling off the blue band on the finishing straight to clear the track for the sprint.

The rider following the moto as the sprint approaches can either begin their sprint or hold their line and speed for at least half a lap. They must not follow the moto off the track or move up the track, as other riders may be starting their sprints behind them.

Any time you are moving up from the sprinters lane SHOULDER CHECK to ensure it's safe.

Due to the higher speeds, there will be no sprint at 11 laps to go (the last sprint will take place at 21 laps to go).

Final Laps
During the final 20 laps, any rider who is dropped from the line cannot re-enter it.

Riders should continue to rotate until five laps to go. Once maximum speed has been reached, the remaining riders can communicate with each other about rotation.

If you are not in the peloton please ensure you circulating in the top WHITE lane, this is incredibly important in the final 20 as the moto will be using the blue line as the pace increases.

The moto rider will decide what the safest top speed is. Shouting at the moto rider to increase speed further during the final laps is not permitted.

The moto rider will not adjust their speed to accommodate slower riders in the group but can make decisions based on the profile of the group regarding adjustment in speeds.

Wet or Damp Track Conditions
If the track is damp, the coordinator will decide whether the session can proceed. The session may run without sprints if conditions permit.

All participants must be financial members of AusCycling, and holders of a valid Ride, Club, or Race licence. As such, participants will be insured through AusCycling. All participants take part at their own risk. The Club is covered by public liability insurance.
