Track Training from 4:30pm Training for all levels including first time and junior riders. 100 Lap Motor Paced session starts at 6:00pm. Riders complete one lap behind the motorbike, then swing up and move to the back of the peloton. Sprint every 10 laps - designated by the motorbike indicator on the lap prior to the sprint lap, motorbike will pull down onto the duckboard into turn 1. If you are directly behind the motorbike when the indicator turns on, do not swing up at the end of your lap, stay in the sprinters lane, keep the pace as high as you can, other will come around you. Final sprint lap with 20 laps to go, pace will increase over the final 20 laps. If you get dropped with less than 20 laps to go, you may NOT rejoin the motor pace peloton. At 6 laps to go riders no longer need to swing off the motorbike at the end of each lap. If you are not in the peloton please ensure you circulating in the top WHITE lane, this is incredibly important in the final 20 as the moto will be using the blue line as the pace increases. Please ensure you communicate with your fellow riders to keep everyone safe. Any time you are moving up from the sprinters lane SHOULDER CHECK to ensure it's safe. Club bikes available to borrow. |

All participants must be financial members of AusCycling, and holders of a valid Lifestyle or Race licence. As such, participants will be insured through AusCycling. All participants take part at their own risk. The Club is covered by public liability insurance. In registering for this training session, athletes and their parents/guardians agree to adhere to the following Codes of Conduct: Gold Coast Cycling Club Code of Conduct Train and race by the rules Never argue with an official: If you need clarification, have your coach or parent approach the official during a break or after competition Be a good sport: applaud all positive achievements whether they are made by your club or the opposition Show respect to and acknowledge opponents and officials (Use positive language such as good luck) Cooperate with our coaches, club members and opponents: without them there would no competition Participate for your own enjoyment and benefit: not just to please parents and coaches Play Fair: no verbal abuse of officials, sledging, threatening or bullying other participants (including vilification) or deliberately distracting or provoking an opponent. This is not limited to verbal communication and includes social media, text messaging and email Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion Do not expect or accept special favours from a coach or person involved in team or club management Speak to an adult you trust if you have an issue, feel unsafe or are concerned about someone else Adhere to the AusCycling Code of Conduct Images: Images taken during this event are owned by Gold Coast Cycling Club.
