Come celebrate International Womens Day with a Time Trial, the simplest way to race your bicycle, test yourself against the clock and cheer on your friends as they do the same. $5 from every entry will be donated to Amys Foundation. No gender requirements to take part, everyone is welcome. All riders must present to registration to have their name signed off, and collect their timing chip at least 15 mins before your start time. Start times and final gradings will be published on Friday the 6th of May. How to ride a time trial: Riders are released 1 at a time, at 1 minute intervals. Distance: 12 laps = 16km = 10 Miles Under 17's can enter their grade. Younger juniors need only complete the distance for their age group. Riders start on the outside of the circuit at the start point, once up to speed riders will make there way safely to the inside of the circuit. RIDERS KEEP TO THE INSIDE (left) of the circuit unless overtaking another rider. Overtake on the outside only! NO DRAFTING! ALWAYS LEAVE SPACE ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE CIRCUIT FOR AN OVERTAKING RIDER - even if you are overtaking. When you complete your laps be aware that other riders will be still be in session and ensure you stay on the inside until you can exit the circuit safely. We recommend you start your computer when you get in the start line so you can measure your distance to go, counting laps is hard! All juniors must comply with their age-appropriate gearing restrictions. Start list will be emailed out to all entries, and put on the clubs Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/goldcoastcyclingclub |
